Partners for Justice (Gumbeobnamnyeo/Investigation Couple) Korean Drama Review

I had been into a lot of crime-solving and justice-related Korean drama lately and among them is Partners for Justice (Gumbeobnamnyeo).  The literal translation is actually Investigation Couple, others even use Investigation Partners. This show is about a brilliant forensic doctor and a rookie prosecutor who works together to solve cases.

What Makes Partners for Justice (Gumbeobnamnyeo) a Must Watch?

I finished both Season 1 and Season 2 of Partners for Justice in Netflix, and here are some of the reasons why I would say that this series is a must-watch:

  1. Authenticity. Almost all the elements are authentic especially the autopsies at the National Forensic Service (NFS) from the setup to the procedure. You can also see how the flow of prosecution happens not only in the viewpoint of the law but also how most of the time what seems to be contradicting with what the actual forensic findings are/
  2. Not Your Usual Korean Drama.  Partners for Justice is not your usual Korean drama with a beautiful lady and a handsome Oppa.  It does not revolve around a love story although there is still some sort of love interest in the series.  It focuses more on the actual plot and gives a sense of new perspective in watching Kdrama.
  3. Superb Storytelling.  The storytelling and how each episode and each crime unfolds is superb.  You will hang on to your seats as you watch them. It is not the predictable type of series and you will even be surprised at things.

Overall, I would give Partners for Justice a rating of 9/10, I would have give it 10/10 if not for the possibility of not finishing the story due to problems in its Season 3.
