Metro Manila Film Festival 2010: Rosario

Jennylyn Mercado had done a wonderful and convincing performance for the movie Rosario which could have earned her the Best Actress nomination at least. The movie is the first venture of TV 5 in fim production and it is also based on a rue story.

Rosario is based on the story about the grandmother of TV 5 main owner, Manuel V. Pangilinan and is directed by Alber Martinez. This is Albert Martinez's directorial debut.

The film features Jennylyn Mercado, Yul Servo, Dennis Trillo, Isabel Oli, Sid Lucero, Philip Salvador, Eula Valdez and with a very special participation of Dolphy. The official theme song of the song titled "Ang Aking Buhay" is composed by Ogie Alcasid and performed by Jennylyn Mercado.



Rosario won MMFF 2nd Best Picture, Gatpuno Cultural Award, Best Supporting Actor for Dolphy, Best Festival Float, Best Cinematography for Carlo Mendoza, Best Editing for John Wong, and Best Production Design for Joey Luna.
