Farewell Butch Albaraccin of Center for Pop Music

MANILA, PHILIPPINES: Farewell Butch Albaraccin of Center for Pop Music - The icon behind the Center for Pop Music had passed away according to Creative Voices founder Pocholo Gonzales.

In his Facebook status, Gonzales said, "Just learned that Sir Butch Albaraccin of Center for Pop Music passed away today...This is a very sad news for all his friends. My deepest Condolences to one of the greatest voice coach! My prayers are with his family."

When Albaraccin founded the Center for Pop Music all he had was an inspiration to put up a music school that can give training in voice and stage performance. When he had that inspiration he has no formal training and music but then he was a leader of a band and decided to concentrate on pop singing as a forte.

The Center for Pop Music is the country's first and only pop music school. It started with just 30 enrollees but now it has 20 branches all over Metro Manila and reached a total enrolment of 4,000 students.

The products of Butch Albaraccin of Center for Pop Music includes Sarah Geronimo, Erik Santos, Nyoy Volante, Jimmy Bondoc, Nina, 4 Kims of Miss Saigon: Ima Castro, Joanne Ampil, Maan Dinoniso, Carla Guevarra, Rachelle Anne Go, Frenchie Dy, Sandara Park, King, Josh Santana, Roselle Nava, Dessa, Geneva Cruz, Cookie Chua, Jonalyn Viray, Nikki Valdez, etc. Others took another route to stardom like – Yasmien Kurdi, Assunta De Rossi, Alessandra de Rossi, Donita Rose, Maricar de Mesa, Victor Neri, Ruffa Mae Quinto, Angelica Jones and many others.
