Music Monday: Heal the World A Tribute to Michael Jackson

For the first time I will be posting Music Monday rather late. I was out of town yesterday and has no internet connection to contribute but I will not miss this weeks MM so here is the song for everyone.

“Today, we stand together all around the world, joined in a common purpose, to remake the planet to a heaven of joy, and understanding and witness, no one should have to suffer especially our children. This time we must succeed. This is for the children of the world.” - Michael Jackson performing Heal the World at Super Bowl 1993

Lately, the internet, radio and television had been full of Michael Jackson and everything that he is. When he died last week it is as if he was gone too soon but for me fate may have a purpose for what had happened and that Michael Jackson was not gone too soon... hence I refuse to dedicate that song to his death. For me his message and purpose resounded loud and clear in the song for this weeks Music Monday. Here is the King of Pop, Michael Jackson in Heal the World.

For me, this is the greatest ever song of Michael Jackson. It carries the message that he spoke of until the day before he died. Quoting Dorian Holley interview for Time Magazine about Michael Jackson's purpose for perfection in his rehearsal for the London Tour in July....

"It almost sounds crazy to say that the show wasn't about him, but ... he'd put it in perspective all the time, saying, 'This is what we're here for, to spread a message of love and taking care of the planet, that we want people to understand it's very, very dear and not to take it for granted,'"

If we want to remember Michael Jackson the best way is to start caring for our planet and change our ways
