Pinoy Otaku Encore 2011 is the first ever major event of both
Naruto Cosplayers PH (NCPH) and
Slicknine Digital Media. The event is a combination of three cultures in one, Japanese, Korean and of course Filipino. This is evidenced by the mix of events particularly both KPop and Cosplay.
The event was also one of those events where you can see
Otakuzine Anime Magazine and
Hero TV working together plus added with the Filipino patriotism inspired by
UnisilverTime through their Makabayan watches. These three join forces together with the events major partner SM Megatrade Hall and SM Megamall for a convention organized by congoers for congoers.
One of the major innovations of the event was the tickets. The tickets became discount cards which can be used for three months. Among the shops were you can avail of discounts are

The event's official media partners inclues Hero TV as the official anime cable network partner; Otakuzine Anime Magazine, official anime magazine partner; WhenInManila.com, as the official blog partner; and Clavel Sneakers Magazine, official fashion magazine partner.
Pinoy Otaku Encore also experimented with an event called Cosplay Ramp where cosplayers go on stage for an open cosplay competition while bands are performing. It is a mix of live performance and cosplay catwalk. There were also lots of food booths at prices just below 50pesos.... imagine also during the event you can buy a laminated anime photo just for 1 peso.
Both days were packed with both KPop fanatics and cosplayers. The KPop Dance Battle Eliminations was the highlight of the first day with
Off Limits Crew and
Heat making a special performance. There was also a KPop Karaoke Competition and a JPop Karaoke Competition. The day ended with a Music Tribute and awarding of recognition to personalities and organizations which help in the nuruturing of Japanese animation in the Philippines including
Cosplay.ph,
TOIE,
Otakuzine Anime Magazine,
Hero TV,
University of the Philippines Anime and Manga Enthusiasts (UP AME),
Cosplay Network Philippines (CNPH) and
Otaku Urule.

Meanwhile, the second day of Pinoy Otaku Encore 2011 was highlighted with the group and individual cosplay competition. There was also a Cosplay Group Awards were groups like the
Philippine X-Men Team,
Justice League PH,
Z Warriors,
Bulacan Cosplay Mania,
Project 8,
Pampanga Cosplay Alliance,
Silent Hill Philippines,
HTP Team Sunna, and the
Original Tarlac Cosplayers were given certificates of recognition.
