First wave of Tsunami hits Philippines and Taiwan

Philippine Volcanologist and Seismologist (PhilVolcs) have reported that the first wave of Tsunamis caused by the 8.9-magnitude earthquake from Japan had already reached Isabela and other parts in the North-eastern Philippines. Although the waves are small, it is expected that up to a fifth wave of Tsunami might be expected anytine until early morning of March 12. Taiwan had also been hit by initial waves of Tsunami although both countries reported no casualties and damage so far.

A CNN report said that the earthquake in Japan and its accompanying tsunami could wipe out entire islands in the Pacific ocean due to the predicted strong tsunami generated by such a strong earthquake.

Here is the report on the first wave of Tsunami in the Philippines as reported by TV Patrol, a local news program in the Philippines.
