NORAD Santa Tracker 2010: Fact or Fiction? Is Santa Claus True?

I don't want to be a spoiler on everyone but we should consider the reality of the NORAD Santa Tracker. Who is Santa Claus and does he really exist? Does Santa really lived in the North Pole and what does the NORAD Santa Tracker really track? People check on Google and Google Earth to see where Santa is but who is really being tracked by this system?

We all know or those of us who are mature enough that Santa Claus is just a fictional character created by the pigment of our imaginations. First of all there is no such thing as a flying reindeer. A reindeer is also known as the caribou in North America and is a deer from the Arctic and Subarctic. Scientists are still yet to find a single evidence or even species of a flying reindeer but up to this point there is no evidence to support that.

Santa Claus who is also known by many names including Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle or Santa is a well-known folklore figure. In Western Culture, he is said to brings gifts to those who had been good. In doing that he rides a sleigh and drops off at the chimney of every house. This legend about Santa Clause is derived from Greek and Byzantine folklore to Basil of Caesarea. Basil's feast day on January 1 is considered the time of exchanging gifts in Greece.

Another legend associated with Santa Claus and is also used by the NORAD Santa Tracker is that he lives in the North Pole, while other legends specifically of Father Christmas puts his residence in the mountains of Korvatunturi in Lapland Province, Finland. According to this legend as well, Santa lives with his wife, Mrs. Claus and large number of magical elves who helps him with the gifts as well as eight or nine flying reindeer.

According to the official NORAD Santa Tracker site, Santa is real and that his flying reindeer are also real.

"Long before the Wright brothers flew the first airplane or the Montgolfier brothers launched the first hot air balloon, Santa had to find a way to travel from house to house at great speed. We know from our Santa Cam images that Santa’s choice for quick transportation was a herd of flying reindeer. Detailed information on these reindeer remains elusive; we do know, however, that Santa enlisted the reindeer to help him with his worldwide mission of gift-giving. A veil of sweet mystery hides the rest."

I do not want to spoil the hearts of everyone but the truth remains the truth and NORAD Santa Tracker is perhaps the biggest lie ever built. Is there actual evidence of Santa or even his flying reindeer? The main purpose of the NORAD Santa Tracker is to make the holiday season more exciting and to give us the fun and joy of experiencing Santa Claus knowing that exist.

Is Santa for real? The only reality is also told honestly by NORAD Santa Tracker site, "Based on historical data and more than 50 years of NORAD tracking information, we believe that Santa Claus is alive and well in the hearts of children throughout the world."

Santa Claus is indeed alive in the hearts of children throughout the world. Don't set your expectations too high and don't expect to actually see a sleigh on your area when the NORAD Santa Tracker indicates that Santa is in your area or on your house.

The real Santa Claus are in fact the parents and godparents of the children because they are the ones that really give gifts to them every year. They are the real Santa Claus every year. Don't be mad because I am just stating facts.

Christmas is not about Santa Claus alone but it is about love and peace. Christmas is about Christ but have we wondered why Santa is even more popular than the real reason why there is Christmas? It is about the humility of Christ as He is born on a manger during the first ever Christmas. Telling the truth is never spoiling Christmas. Santa is in our hearts and he will forever remain and there is no need to fabricate things like the NORAD Santa Tracker.

We would like you to share your stories and take on this? What do you think of the NORAD Santa Tracker? Is it true or just another Christmas trick?
