Nicanor Perlas Message to the Filipino People
Presidentiable Nicanor "Nick" Perlas answers the questions of Filipino voters directly (videos below), Septembr 24 at www.gmanews.tv through Exchange Live Webchat. Perlas said that the elections in 2010 is critical in determining the future of our country.
He also mentioned at the height of Typhoon Ondoy that an immediate measure addressing the impacts of Climate Change should be put in place in order to increase disaster preparedness of the country.
The live chat with Nick Perlas on GMA 7 lasted for more than an hours and more than 50 questions were answered. Voters also get to know more about the stands of Nicky on the various issues affecting our country.
One key issue is his openness to support divorce in the Philippines provided that there is a right legislation consulted with various sectors. He is also open to same sex marriage as long as the law regarding this goes to proper consultation. He says that everyone has the right.
Perlas also mentioned that they already had a machinery to run a nationwide campaign through the Partido ng Marangal na Sambayan (PANGMASA) which is already organized in the various regions, provinces and municipalities.
PANGMASA holds a solid platform of reform, pro-ecology, good governance, innovation, and participatory leadership among others. He said that they will push for new politics in the country which banks on genuine service to the Filipino people.
