Wall-E: I Don't Want to Survive, I Want to Live

ENTERTAINMENT MONDAY: I thought it was just the usual Disney movie with fun, laughter and children stories are made of but Wall-E from Disney and Pixar had brought a new message that we should never ignore. The movie delivered a strong challenge to all of us to act and help preserve the only Earth that we have... hence the message, "I Don't Want to Survive, I Want to Live". This is perhaps the strongest message the movie had made and did run down on my spine.

Most of us go on our daily lives to work, earn money and simply survive each day. Do we ever wonder if we are really living on this Earth? I remember one official in the Municipality here where he said that Environment is not the priority but social services. Looking at the movie we see how social service had improve the lives of people. We see how everything had been high tech and automated and how everyone became Big and Large or obese. They never realized that they are really part of a bigger world in which they need to interact with one another.

Wall-E Official Theme Song "Down to Earth"

Most of us are so hanged up in surviving. We are caught up in the web of making millions and millions of money. Most of the people are caught up in just thinking about himself and not minding about others. But what if when we realized that we need to act is the time when we cannot do anything more?

I am not a perfect person and come to think of it I too have difficulties with attending to the basic necessities of life but I can say that I am living. I do not walk this Earth only to survive but I am walking to live and to touch other people and to care for this Earth.

It is also for this reason why I am so dedicated to make the World Creative Youth Forum (WCYF) happen. Not because I wanted fame or glory but I want to challenge everyone not only to survive but to live. I hope that more people will come and join us in really living for the Earth.

I highly recommend the movie Wall-E to everyone, young and old and may the message of this movie get in their hearts and souls.
