Bloggerfest at Thunderbird Resorts a huge success

More than 200 bloggers gathered for a rare gathering of bloggers called Bloggerfest 2011. The main sponsor of the venue was Thunderbird Resorts Rizal. The Bloggerfest coincided with the awarding of Thunderbird Resorts, "Extraordinary Online Video Contest" where the grand winner was awarded P100,000 in cash. Besides the grand winner five most voted video entries are given P10,000 each and one favorite video was given P10,000 and an iPad.

The bloggers were able to network with one another and also enjoy the delicious buffet that was more than enough for them. There were also various talks shared by bloggers to one another the topics includes Blogging 101 by Azrael Coladilla, "Sharing your story through personal blogging" by Micaela Rodrigues of Micamyx.com, "Blogging and SEO" by Jonel Uy of Blogger Manila, "How to Write Awesome Blog Posts" by Fritz Villafuerte, "Photo Blogging Essentials" by Antonio Carranza Jr. of PusangKalye.net, "Beating Writers Block and The Importance of Revision" by Arvin Ello of Vintersections.com, Domain and DNS Management for your blog," by JP de Leon of KampeonNgPagibig,com, and "How to Secure Your Blog from Hacking" by Marlon Guzman of Solid Hosting.


Besides the volume of good and great new knowledge which the bloggers acquired during the event there were also tons of raffles from Thunderbird shirts, to P1,000 gift certificate from United Colors of Benetton, free 100pcs calling cards, Reader's Digest, Day-time Tour at Thunderbird, Zest Air flights, Solid Hosting free hosting and more.

The event was inspired by the Blogger Firesta organized by Azrael Coladilla of Azrael's Merryland in 2010 and now it had been a bigger event in which bloggers will be anticipate every year.

Thunderbird Resorts had been one of the companies which had given priorities to bloggers and to the importance of new media. The care they give from providing the transportation, food and other necessities they gave to the Bloggerfest was a proof that Thunderbird Resorts had recognized the power of blogging and of the blogger community.

Organizers of the Bloggerfest through Azrael Coladilla said that they are hoping to organize a bigger Bloggerfest soon and is inviting bloggers to come and share their ideas and time to mutually benefit the community.
