Michael Jackson Fever Continues Breaking Generations

The hits, songs and videos of Michael Jackson continue to rule the airwaves, music channels as well as online networking site. In MySpace particularly there was a reported phenomenal rise in interest on Michael Jackson by the young generation ages 13-24. These generation are said to be more inclined before to the likes of Lady Gaga and the Jonas Brothers but now they are discovering Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson songs were also supposed to be dominating the Billboard Hit Chart if only old songs are allowed to be listed on the chart. Aside from that people continue to pay tribute to him from across the world.

In the United States Congress House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday shot down calls for a formal congressional measure honoring Michael Jackson, warning a debate might air unpleasant "contrary views" about the late "King of Pop.".

It can be remembered that at the internationally televised tribute to Jackson on Tuesday, Democratic Representative Sheila Jackson-Lee held aloft a framed copy of legislation declaring him "a global humanitarian and a noted leader in the fight against worldwide hunger and medical crises."

However, there were others who had not been too keen about what was happening. A New York congressman says in a YouTube video that Michael Jackson was a "pervert."

Rep. Peter King said society is "glorifying" a "low-life" while ignoring the efforts of teachers, police officers, firefighters, veterans and volunteers.

Pete King speaks out against honoring Michael Jackson

"For the last, I don't know how long now, this low-life Michael Jackson, his name, his face, his picture, is all over the newspapers, television, radio. That's all we hear about is Michael Jackson. Let's knock out this psycho-babble. This guy was a pervert, a child molester, he was a pedophile, and to be giving this much coverage to him day in and day out, what's it say about us a country?" King said.

But for us who had been fans of Michael Jackson, he is indeed someone who deserves praises. He might have committed something wrong but is a person totally about that wrong he had made or is he also that which he had made positive?

Here is another MJ song for everyone...
