WCYF 2009 is Planning to Showcase Block Screening of The Watchmen
The Local Organizing Committee is currently trying to organize fund raisers for WCYF 2009 and one of the avenues seen is through a Block Screening in March of the movie, "The Watchmen." The movies theme is particularly of relation to WCYF 2009, since in this forum the youth is taking the lead in facing the current problems and illnesses of the earth and the question is how will they do it. The block screening of the movie is sought to help raise the needed funds to make the event a reality. Celebrities, dignitaries, students and corporate sponsors will be invited to watch. "Watchmen" is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed
superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the
