Hyperloop Revolution in Transportation is Coming

Hyperloop is coming into reality.  The latest innovation in transportation can be expected in the next 10 years or so.  Just now, Eton Musks' Hyperloop project had been approved and digging will start in Washington DC.

Hyperloop is the next transportation revolution]

Hyperloop is a transportation technology which presents a train traveling on a vacuum tube with the aid of magnets and through maglev or magnetic levitation.  Eton Musk, an entrepreneur, and CEO of Tesla and Space X in 2013 came up with an idea of a vacuum-and-maglev-powered super-fast train that would travel through a tube.

Besides Musk, two other companies are developing the same technology - Shervin Pishevar's Hyperloop One and Dirk Ahlborn's Hyperloop Transportation Technologies.  This would truly revolutionize transportation if ever.

Status of Hyperloop Technology Projects

Musk had already received approval of his Hyperloop technology application.  The first stops will be made in Washington DC and New York.  For this, he had received an early building permit from DC allowing his company, The Boring Company to start digging.

It was also revealed via a tweet from Musk last summer that the firm received verbal assurances it could build an underground Hyperloop connecting New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, DC. The Boring Company is also seeking approval for a “proof of concept” tunnel in Los Angeles.

Hyperloop revolution in Asia

In Asia, there is also a development in the Hyperloop technology.  According to Business Insider, a group of Chinese scientists is proposing the construction of a pneumatic train underwater. In 2017, researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences proposed a submarine rail project that would run at a theoretical speed of 1,240 mph, much faster Musk's Hyperloop concept.

While in the Philippines, people are having daily problems with the train transportation system whose maintenance had gone terribly bad.  Luckily, there will be a construction of MRT 7 which will not be available until 2020.  Perhaps, they should just opt for a Hyperloop instead, right?
