Why Hannibal Season 4 is a must?

Written By David D'Angelo on Thursday, September 8, 2016 | 9/08/2016

Just recently I finished watching Hannibal Season 3 via iflix (yes you can watch it via ilix in full HD).  I would say that I was shocked by the ending of the series where it seems like previous ending all was lost.  Would there be a Hannibal Season 4?  Why is a Season 4 a must?

A brief Hannibal Season 3 review

I am an avid fan of Hannibal, in short I am a Fannibal.  I had enjoyed Hannibal Lecter's character since the very beginning - Silence of the Lambs.  I had enjoyed every bit of puzzle, the chaos and the mind boggling words, twists and turns that always happens.

Hannibal Season 3 gives something very shocking and exciting.  It brings to us the knwoledge of how uncunning and powerful Hannibal is despite him being inside a cell.  This season introduces fans to the Great Red Dragon which had also been a movie as well.  It shows blood and gore and also how relationships and people can change everything.

Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter develops a certain kind of relationship which in the end will lead to something very shocking.  Perhaops what led to the down in ratings would be the difference in this season.  Compared to the previous season where there is too much gore and violence, Season 3 provides more talk and mind pizzle in the series.  It is not much about the killing but more about the psychology behind the people who kill.

Though there are fewer killings in Hannibal Season 4, when you see them they would be something that would shock you and caught you off guard.  I was really shocked near the ending when things you never expected actually happens.

I am giving Hannibal Season 3 and well the rest of the series a 95/100 rating.

The troubles of Hannibal TV Series

I understand that NBC cancelled the show with just 3 episodes.  When I heard about that I was really sad but luckily it continued until the Hannibal Season 3 finale.  The show has a very good review but it was also among the top 5 most stolen shows on the internet.

When NBC decided not to renew “Hannibal” for a fourth season — a show on which I served as executive producer — it wasn’t much of a leap to connect its fate with the fact that the show was ranked as the fifth-most illegally downloaded show in 2013. When nearly one-third of the audience for “Hannibal” is coming from pirated sites — despite the fact that a legitimate download for each episode was available the following day — you don’t have to know calculus to do the math. If a show is stolen, it makes it difficult, if not impossible, to fairly compensate a crew and keep a series in production. - De Laurentis Company,

De laurentis Company owns the rights to the show together with Gaumont International.  Despite legal downloads you would wonder why people would illegally download it.  If they love the show then they should support it.

Hannibal Season 4 possibility

Despite the Hannibal auction held last March 2016,  Hannibal creator and showrunner Bryan Fuller gives us hope that indeed there will be a Season 4.  In fact, in an interview given to Collider he told them that the next season will offer something that goes back to the first season.

Would it dwell on how Hannibal became as he is?  Would it explore some more background of Will Graham?  Will it explore some things that was not shown?  Well we just hope that it happens because Fannibals are really expecting a lot.

“The cast is game, I’m game, it’s just a matter of finding the right time where everybody’s schedules sync up, but I would love to continue to tell the story with Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen. They’re such a fantastic collaborators, and one of the most satisfying actor-showrunner relationships I’ve ever had in this industry. So I would love to continue this story.”

When can we expect Hannibal Season 4?

The latest would possibly be in 2018.  Yes, that's 2 years from now.  Bryan Fuller says that it would only be in August 2017 where they can once again start talking about the future of the show and perhaps also resolve some ownership issues.

Two years after the last airing of the show, we can investigate our options...August 2017 is when we can actually start talking about it. That's when we would have to see what the rights are for the character and for the story, and see who's interested and how we get it done. I have the story, and the cast is excited for the story, so we're ready to go if somebody wants to go.

What if there is no one who wants to go?  Well in that case we can all say goodbye to the series.

What do you want to see in Hannibal Season 4?

This goes to all Fannibals out there.  Tell us what you want to see in Season 4 and how do you want to continue the story.  I am really interested to reading your thoughts.
