After two failed attempt, Top Rank Promotions is working once more with closing a deal for the greatest fight being awaited by everyone, Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. Bob Arum is hopeful that with the current situation and status of Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather might finally agree.

Manny Pacquiao just earned his eight World Title last weekend by defeating Antonio Margarito in the ring via a 12-round unanimous decision. The battle however between Pacquiao and Mayweather Jr. will not come in the next six months since doctors and coach Freddy Roach advised Pacquiao to rest from boxing for the next six months.

“I will have Todd Duboef place a call directly to Floyd. Todd will ask one question and one question only, and that is whether Floyd wants to fight Manny,” Arum said according to the sports website FanHouse.

“If Floyd’s answer is yes about fighting Manny, then Todd will ask for Floyd’s expressed permission to call his criminal lawyer. Todd will ask the lawyer if he can be sure if Floyd will be available, not on trial or otherwise occupied, on specific dates.”
