Inception's Copied Concept and the Movie's X-Men First Class Effects

Christopher Nolan's Inception is again hitting the buzz as observers and some scavengers noticed that the plot of the movie which stars Leonardo DiCaprio is strikingly similar to a Walt Disney comics entitled "Uncle Scrooge in The Dream of a Lifetime."

I have read an online version of the comics and indeed its plot is very similar including the fact that Uncle Scrooge's dream was invaded. Another Inception originality question which I have yet to see is the alleged floating hallway fight-scene said to be taken directly from a GummiBears Christmas Special. Very interesting!

Meanwhile, Director Matthew Vaughn of the upcoming movie X-Men First Class said that they have ripped more than 12 pages of the script and storyboard because of scenes which might be tagged or linked to Inception.


Vaughn said that "Inception's" surreal, zero-gravity, rotating-room fight scenes which also had some similar concept in X-Men First Class might be construed as a borrowed idea rather than an original.

"I saw 'Inception,' which I loved, but my heart sank when I saw that a few of the ideas we had were up [on the screen]. So it's either leave it in and look as if you're copying or change things. We completely ripped out about 12 pages of the script and the storyboards," said Vaughn in an interview with the L.A. Times:
