CBS Says Farewell to Harold Dow - Veteran news correspondent and investigative reporter for the CBS News Network, Harold Dow passed away Saturday morning. Immediate cause of his passing away was not determined.

Dow had been one of the contributors for the CBS show 48 hours which features intriguing documentaries and look on various news and mysteries. For his work and dedication Harold Dow won various Emmy Awards as well as other citations.

Harold Dow won the following awards during his career:

  • Five Emmy Awards
  • Peabody Award for his 48 hours report on runaways
  • Robert F. Kennedy Award for a report on public housing
  • National Association of Black Journalists Recognition for his report about civil rights activist Medgar Evers, which was featured in a CBS News special about the inauguration of President Barack Obama.
