ASUS Launches the ASUS WiCast EW2000

Enjoy Full HD Wireless Entertainment with the ASUS WiCast EW2000

Now you can stream full HD content from a HDMI-enabled AV source to a display and that is thanks to ASUS!  ASUS today announced the launch of the ASUS WiCast EW2000, a wireless Full HD transmission kit capable of streaming content from any notebook, PC or video source to display devices like TVs, monitors, and projectors.

ASUS said that this will be one of their products that will provide a wide-array of solutions to those who are engage in the production and presentation of content.  This also goes for those who definitely want to enjoy high definition content.

Streaming HD Content with Almost No Latency

The ASUS WiCast EW2000 lets users do away with cables that link the video source to the display without compromising image and sound quality.

The EW2000’s ability to deliver latency-free (<1ms) uncompressed data transmissions at rates of up to 3Gbps lets users enjoy Full HD 1080p content on their large screen TVs, monitors or projectors. The EW2000 is compatible with PCs, notebooks, as well as AV devices like Blu-ray disc players, set top boxes, and game consoles for a movie or gaming experience uninterrupted by picture or audio lag.

Wireless Home Digital Interface-enabled

The ASUS WiCast EW2000 utilizes Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) transmissions to stream Full HD content up to a range of 10 meters and is not limited by line of sight. It is the ideal in-room content streaming solution that does not compromise picture quality.

Less Cables with the USB-powered Transmitter

The ASUS WiCast’s transmitter and receiver are hooked up to the AV source and display device respectively via a HDMI connection, there is no additional software to be installed. The transmitter can draw power from the notebook or PC via a USB cable, thereby reducing the need for an additional power cable.
