President Barack Obama's Hispanic Support Waning According to Poll



US President Obama's Hispanic support seems to be wavering as the US Hispanic population had been highly affected by job losses. Others see the inaction of the Obama administration on immigration reform as a sign of alarm that nothing will be done during Obama's term.

Despite President Obama's decreasing support from the Hispanic community, Hispanics still overwhelmingly favor the Democratic Party over the GOP. Majority of them still think he is doing a good job, as agreed by 43 percent of those who had been surveyed. Another 32 percent were uncertain and 21 percent said President Obama is doing a poor job.

With regards to the overall performance of President Obama, 57 percent of Hispanics still says they approve of the president's overall performance. This is higher than the those which approves of Obama's performance within the general population which is only at 44 percent.
