Penny Hardaway Plans To Return To Miami Heat

Latest NBA News: Penny Hardaway Aiming an NBA Comeback - Talk about news in the NBA. Retired NBA star and former Orlando Magic Guard Penny Hardaway says he wants to make a return to the NBA and be part of his former team, Miami Heat.

"I didn’t get a chance to finish my career the way I wanted," says Hardaway who was released from the Miami Heat on December 2007. Perhaps Penny Hardaway is seeing the potential championship quality of the Miami Heat with LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade in the rooster.

Penny Hardaway revealed his intention to play for the Miami Heat through the Bottom Line Sports. When asked if he is still capable of playing for the NBA, Hardaway responded, "I’m healthy and I’m really ready to play." He then added, "It’s not maximum minutes. I’m mentally ready to handle that type of a role."

Penny Hardaway said that he already contacted Miami Heat President Pat Riley but Riley had no response yet. Considering the many considerations and players Riley is looking for, it seems that Hardaway might be asking for a long shot but we never know.

Would Penny Hardaway be hired by the Heat or would he just be better off retired? What do you think?
