NBA Pre-Season News: Cleveland Says Goodbye to LeBron James, Brings Down LeBron Mural - A long standing mural of LeBron James was removed today in Cleveland as the apparent transfer of their star player, LeBron James to Miami Heat became clear.

The 10-story-tall mural featuring the iconic image of James in downtown Cleveland was being dismantled by workers. The billboard had been part of the city's skyline for years but since James is no longer with them, they have to remove it.

The removal of the mural of LeBron James in Cleveland had been a historic site for many people. Former fans stop and cars take photos of the image of LeBron James. The billboard depicts James with is arms outstretched and head thrown back after doing his pregame powder toss. James had been converted to the newest villain of Cleveland after moving out.

Besides the mural of LeBron James, his #23 jersey are either being given away or being burned by angry fans who disliked the start players decision to transfer to Miami Heat.

“We are removing the LeBron James Witness mural in downtown Cleveland and expect the process to be completed within a few days,” Nike spokesman KeJuan Wilkins said in an e-mail to The Associated Press.

Cavs owner Dan Gilbert said that LeBron James had not been a very good player for the Cleveland Cavaliers leaving the playoffs twice. He also told the associated press that, "We will win a championship before (the Heat) do"
