David Beckham Picks The Best 2010 FIFA World Cup Players

The 11 Best Players of the 2010 FIFA World Cup - Before the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals on July 11, David Bechkam who was dubbed as the Yahoo! Global Football Ambassador, made his choice of the 11 best players of the World Cup 2010. That list includes four players from Spain, the 2010 World Cup Champions.

So who had been the best players for World Cup 2010 according to David Beckham? The top spot for him is Uruguay player, Fernando Muslera. Muslera made had just began his international football debut months ago but in Uruguay's game against Ghana he made two great penalty saves. For David Beckham that means greatness waiting to be unleashed.

Spain gets four players in Beckham's list which includes Sergio Ramos, a fellow football player of Real Madrid and he said is one of the most determined and committed defenders he had come across. He also picked, Carles Puyol, a player whom Spain should be thankful because he is the reason they advanced to the finals.

Other Spanish players in David Beckham's list are Xavi whom he said had been one of the best playsetter the football world has ever seen, and David Villa whom he says, " one of the world's best finishers"


Diego Forlan, the World Cup 2010 best player was also included in David Beckham's "The 11 best players at this World Cup" Beckham has all praised for Diego Forlan citing his ability and great improvement.

"A striker who has gotten better and better over the years, I was fortunate to play with Diego at United, and we could all see what a talented player he was," said Beckham.
