Freddy Krueger Returns in Your Dreams in 2010

Freddy Krueger Nightmare on Elm is making an huge comeback this 2010. We will be seeing a Freddy with less sense of humor but more daring and evil. The film will be written by Eric Heisserer and Wesley Strick, directed by Samuel Bayer, and produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller is a remake of the 1984 film which delivers shivers into our bones. It is also the film with the highest number of sequels so far in a horror film.

The Nightmare on Elm Street franchise contains 8 sequels, the last being Freddy vs Jason. The film grossed a combine total of $339,706,250 worldwide in a span of 19 years.

According to Wikipedia, Jackie Earle Haley was cast to take over Englund's most well known role as Freddy Krueger. Initially, the studio wanted to cast an unknown for the role of Freddy Krueger, but it was Haley's performance in Little Children that impressed Emmerich enough to cast the actor against the original intentions. Emmerich explains, "Freddy is this incredible stew of malevolence and anger, but he also has a hint of vulnerability, and Jackie really has all of that and more.
