Call for Immediate and Desperate Help for the Victims of Ondoy

Hi everyone, the victims of Typhoon Ondoy in the Philippines is tremendous and we really need all the help we can get.  I am forwarding and posting this request for IMMEDIATE AND DESPERATE HELP from Craig and Sarah of the Philippine Business Leaders Forum.  Please read, help and pass on...

As you can imagine we are overwhelmed by people wanting to support, help, clean, donate etc. Cell phones and emails are taking up a lot of our time so please forgive us if our communication is short and general.

For those of you wanting to make donations there are a number of ways to do this!

For those of you in Manila, please send donations and goods to Sarah McLeod at the office of the Philippine Business Leaders Forum at Unit 15-C Valero Tower, 122 Valero St. Salcedo village anytime during office hours or arrange to give the money to Linda Boyd of the BWA and if you are in Alabang then please drop any goods and or cash with Jan Evans at 382 Sanbartilome Street, Ayala Alabang Village.

For those in the UK: You can send cash to Sarah McLeod’s bank account: Halifax, Miss CS Murgatroyd and Mrs SF Murgatroyd (She uses her maiden name and has a joint account with her Mother who is also a huge support of the Mango project and can access the money directly here) Account Number 00161670 sort code 111570. Sarah can be contacted directly on sarahmurg@gmail.com or 09209103533

For those with larger amounts in the UK and can make use of the tax break! then check out http://www.asct.org.uk and email Alison at office@asct.org.uk, they are a registered UK Charity Number 272328 so donations can be tax deductable, also please sign up for the newsletter.

Remember WE DESPERATLY NEED CLOTHES, children’s toys, chairs and other furniture as quickly as possible, time is essential. We hope to get some of it to those in need today as they have nothing.

The British Women’s Association and also raising support and donations can go straight to them: Today they can be left at 17 Balate Street, the home of Sharlene Du Plessis.

Finally Springboard Foundation can accept donations that are tax deductible in the Philippines please contact them at info@springboard-foundation.org Peso donations to HSBC-Swift code PHMMO account name Springboard Foundation 000-179069040, US Dollars to 001-060458130, Canadian Dollars 001-060458131.

In the Netherlands please donate to Stichting Kalinga 56.76.83.214 at ABN AMRO, Utrecht contact janneke@kalinga.nl or see www.kalinga.nl

We may also need 4x4 vehicles to help ferry things to the victims, please contact Craig on me@craig.burrows.name or +9 188 188 177 if you can help.

On my way to the worst affected areas in Rizal now and may not be contactable as all communication lines are obviously still down. Will send out a report later. Please know all donations will be fully accounted for so you will know where your donations have gone.

Friends, we all have clothes etc we do not need, let us not get nostalgic but think about those who will wear them knowing people care.

Blessings,
Craig and Sarah.
