WCYF Supports the Global Day of Action Against Climate Change

GREEN TUESDAY: The World Creative Youth Forum (WCYF) 2009 through its main organizer Brotherhood of Destiny (BROOD) , Inc. participated in the Global Day of Action Against Climate Change on December 6, 2008. In support of this global event BROOD together with Baliwag.Net and Kabanda Foundation held a music concert entitled Signos: Musika at Tugtugan Laban sa Climate Change. 18 bands performed their music dedication for the Earth. Solidarity Messages were also given by Team RP, the United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines (UNYAP) and Cesar Amoranto Jr., BROOD-Council on Environment.

"We should be aware of the effects of Climate Change because it affects all of us," a message by Cesar Amoranto, BROOD National Council on Environment that resounded to the crowd. Gino and Atty Eirene of Team RP were also present during the event to present to the public the government's Charter Change plan with Team RP's Juana Change short film.

To beep up the crowd David D'Angelo, BROOD National Secretary General and Jackie Romorosa, BROOD NCR Council served as emcees. Jackie's charm and skills lured the crowd into an exchange of discussion and ideas which most of the times delivered laughter and cheer.


The event was organized by Baliwag.Net: The Official Online Tambayan , Kabanda Foundation and Brotherhood of Destiny (BROOD), Inc . Among the sponsors were Colt 45, Cobra Energy Drink, Family Affair Events Specialist and Informatics - Malolos. AIM Global and Team RP were partners to the event. The day of action was also in support of the advocacies of the Youth for Sustainable Development Assembly (YSDA) and the Asia-Europe Youth Network on Sustainable Development (AEYNSD) in which BROOD is a member.
