Many people prefer to eat well polished white rice instead of brown rice. That is because brown rice has harder texture and is not as palatable as white rice. Experts, however, keep on recommending brown rice because it contains more vitamins, minerals and fiber. Romero, head of the Rice Chemistry and Food Science Division of PhilRice, sprouting brown rice will not only make it more palatable, it will also make it more nutritious. How?
