Pacquiao - Barrera 2 : Almost Zero Crime Rate in Metro Manila

Metro Manila enjoyed a crime-free day as neighborhood thugs, snatchers and other assorted felons stayed home to watch the big fight. A Manny Pacquiao fight always seems to be a crime deterrent.

Philippine National Police reported even petty criminals stayed off the streets to catch the satellite broadcast of the bout from Las Vegas.

Many Filipinos set aside their regular pursuits and political agenda and just cheer for Pacman. Manny served as a unifying factor among our countrymen, even for just a short time.

Deputy Director General Reynaldo Varilla, PNP deputy chief for operations said "We're hoping that Pacquiao has a fight everyday so that no crime will be committed in our country."
